We
count our successes one by one, with each individual presenting
a new opportunity to change a life. We also measure our effectiveness
by the scope of services we deliver to those who need them most.
- Over
800,000 meals have been prepared and served.
- More
than half of the 7,500+ homeless individuals who visited
the Lodestar Day Resource Center have initiated a strategy
to achieve self-sufficiency.
- More
than 7,000 men and 3,000 women have received shelter services.
Over 2,000 have acquired transitional or permanent housing.
- Over
2,200 homeless individuals used the nation's only homeless
post office, which provides a critical connection to resources
and support systems.
- Nearly
2,000 individuals have become employed.
- More
than 2,000 3,357individuals have received birth certificates
and over 4,000 6,279 have obtained other forms of identification
needed for them to find work, qualify for services and achieve
self-sufficiency.
- More
than 2,000 individuals have received dental care worth more
than $2.4 million provided by professional community volunteers.
- More
than 1,550 U.S. Veterans have been served and connected
to resources designed to end their homelessness.
- More
than 1,000 disabled individuals began receiving Supplement
Security Income benefits.
- 800
shelter beds located on or near the Campus are filled to
capacity every night.
- Four
days each week, medical and case management Outreach Teams
fan out across the county to find homeless people and provide
them with food, water and medical services.
- The
City of Phoenix police reported a significant reduction
in crime in the neighborhood immediately surrounding the
Campus.
